What happens to commission artists when they turn 30?

It's more of a recent occupation and I'm curious if there are any success stories.

Twink death. Unless they can stay supplied with adenochrome, of course.

>This comprehensive guide traces over 4,000 years of art patronage across civilizations, examining how the relationship between money and creativity has evolved from ancient temple commissions to modern crowdfunding.
They learn how to make actual good art as a hobby instead of cookie cutter characters. Or they become an art director.

They keep going? I don't get it.

Glass houses
I know a furry artist who's perpetually poor and has to ebeg every month fur rent and bill money. He's been a furry artist fur over 10 years and is in his 30s now. He has mentioned how he's kind of stuck because drawing big furry butts isn't really a transferrable skill to any career. Any self employed job like furry artist is really risky tbh, unless you're in the 1% of the 1% and of income from it, it's just something that should be done on the side while you're working a real job

They either keep going or stop.

They either make enough to live very comfurtably fur the rest of their lives or they don't.

Yes, the commission economy is not a good system.

Well, I don't do that yet, but if someone's doing that I don't see why this arbitrary number'd stop them.

I guess so

Usually people get a midlife crisis and furry artists aren't the most mentally stable. A lot of them self destruct from what I witness, they reach a high high and drop to the lowest of lows. I was wondering if there are ANY stories where someone is humble and makes living out of it, zero shame or baggage (almost impossible but something to strive fur)

I'm sure there're plenty way past 30. I can only really think of Jay Naylor off the top of my head. I think wolfy-nail is still going but I'm not sure. Markiplier's brother I'm sure is well past 30 too but he doesn't really do corn, to be fair. Dimwitdog is barely 30. If someone's going to have some mental crisis like you described it'll probably be her so I guess we'll see soon enough. I doubt she'll stop, though. If I was goofing to their stuff a decade ago, I'm almost sure they're past 30, so that'd include Zonkpunch and some otherphonos I don't really remember.
>midlife crisis
At 30? Huh? You're using the term figuratively?
