agreed but the hair color must naturally blend in with fur color and patterns (unless its an animal species with an explicitly differently colored mane)

Looking at the other characters' designs, it is reasonable to assume that the fur on her head is not any longer or thicker than elsewhere but since this is never explicitly shown, it is left up to the viewers' imagination.

I like when hair is creative. For example fluffy fur for mammals, feathers or long scales for birds dinosaurs and reptiles.
