>Company gets a huge insurance payout
Do they, though? Fire insurance doesn't normally pay out in the event that a fire can be proven to be arson. I'm sure the corporation has a gorillion trillion bazillion dollars anyway, and the loss of the facility is not even pocket change to them. But at least in the US, fire insurance doesn't normally pay out when the fire can be proven to be a result of criminal activity. Otherwise nothing's keeping business owners from taking out big fat insurance policies on a failing business, then paying some homeless wino to burn it down and saying "He must have been disgruntled or something. Gief moniez pl0x!" This particular "life hack" was created about three seconds after fire insurance, the insurance companies know all about it, and at least for now the law in the US normally allows them to refuse to pay out.
